Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's most commonly referred to as was an American born British guitarist and singer who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group was not able to achieve major success in their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. After the band split in 1979 Ford started a lucrative solo career in heavy metal. After taking vocal lessons she released her solo debut album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve much with either album and remained out of the realm of rock for about a decade. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her greatest hits. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a couple of years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
