Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother, within the USA. Raised with racial remarks and being made to feel unwelcome. As she entered the 9th grade she started to feel more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success when she sang at the school's audition. This experience did not just help the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on the future. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot, she played the Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. In the year following, she joined the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. A singer by profession She has also recorded a single as well as an extended work. She is also an activist who is active to promote LGBT rights.
